The Firm

Built for the gap
between vendors.

MEDinformatics is a healthcare interoperability consulting firm based in Chicago, Illinois. We work with medical practices, clinical laboratories, and behavioral health organizations to find, fix, and govern clinical data integration failures.

The work exists because a specific gap does. When an integration breaks in a healthcare environment, the EHR vendor, the LIS vendor, and the reference lab each have support teams protecting their own liability. The organization in the middle has no one with the technical depth to hold them accountable, trace the actual break, or produce the documentation that prevents it from recurring. That is the gap MEDinformatics fills.

Our practice covers the full interoperability stack for ambulatory and community health settings: HL7 v2 interface design and rescue, compendium and AOE governance, vendor management, go-live support, and Fractional CIO advisory for organizations that need senior health IT leadership without the full-time cost.

How We Operate

The commitments behind
every engagement.

Documentation before diagnosis

We do not tell you what is wrong before we understand what is there. Every engagement begins with a full inventory of your environment, not a guess based on the most common problems.

Technical specificity

We work at the level of HL7 segments, field mappings, and transport configurations. General observations are not the deliverable. Specific findings with specific owners are.

No PHI in our process

Clinical data integration problems can be diagnosed without patient information. We build our process around that principle and we hold to it in every engagement.

Clean disengagement

Every project ends with documentation your organization can operate from independently. We do not build processes that require us to maintain them.

A diagnostic conversation before any engagement starts is always the right first step.
